As two bookish biddies who love to imbibe, we love a seasonal cocktail. So we’ve gathered up some fabulous fall drinkies to share with you for your next sip and read moment. As always, please drink responsibly.
Autumn Cocktails for Sippin’ & Readin’
1. Apple Cider Sangria
Michelle Beaton at Weekend Craft has combined two of my favorite sips — apple cider and sangria — into one delightful cocktail. Her Apple Cider Sangria recipe mixes up white wine, apple cider, caramel vodka, a bevy of seasonal fruit and cinnamon for this perfect fall drink.

2. Ginger Pear Bourbon Martini
Meghan and I LOVE bourbon and I’m always a sucker for a good martini. Well, the two ladies over at Savored Sips are ticking all the boxes for me with their Ginger Pear Bourbon Martini. Angie & Laura, the Savored Sippers as they call themselves, have a delicious recipe on their blog that includes a bonus component of an infused simple syrup that gives this cocktail real depth of flavor.

3. Abbout Figgin’ Thyme
There are some extra recipes and steps needed to make Jayme’s About Figgin’ Thyme rum cocktail but they are totally worth it for this absolutely delicious cocktail that makes us think of a crisp autumn day. Can we also say we love the fun name? Sheer genius. Jayme’s blog Holly and Flora is rife with fabulous cocktail recipes like this one.

4. Pecan Pie Martini
A Thanksgiving without pie is a horror we never wish to endure. So, to be safe, it may be a wise idea to double down with a slice of pie AND a pie-themed martini when you sit down for a romantic fall read. (May we suggest Stuffed: A Thanksgiving Romance by Jessica Gadziala?) The folks over at delish.com have whipped up a nutty and decadent Pecan Pie Martini that combines rumchata, creme de cocoa and bourbon. I personally don’t normally like rumchata but it totally works in this cocktail.

5. Spiked Hot Chocolate Whiskey with Marshmallows
Hot Cocoa always seems so quintessentially cozy to us and we love the idea of spiking it with whiskey. Amy at DIY Candy delivers with this adult spin on a classic, Spiked Hot Chocolate Whiskey with Marshmallows. It’s a cinch to whip up and very warming as you cuddle up with your favorite holiday romance novel.

Do you have a favorite fall cocktail you like to sip when reading? We’d love to hear from you. Drop us a comment! We’re always looking for fun drinks to imbibe for the podcast.
